About This Horse
Skeeter is a home-raised mare with an exciting combination of reining, ranch riding, and cow-horse genetics.
Her sire, Haidas Lil Gun, is a son of Spooks Gotta Gun and out of Haidas Lil Mavis, bringing together influential reining and cutting bloodlines. Haidas Lil Gun earned an AQHA Performance Register of Merit and qualified for the AQHA World Show in junior ranch riding and reining. His offspring have also competed in ranch horse futurities and Western performance events.
Skeeter's dam, Sparkling Berrywine, was a daughter of Jacs Electric Spark and granddaughter of Shining Spark, adding a strong maternal foundation of reining and roping influence. This is the same maternal family that produced Too Busy Shining, another valued mare in our program.
With athletic performance bloodlines on both sides of her pedigree, Skeeter represents the kind of versatile, cow-minded horse we strive to produce. We are particularly excited about her potential to contribute to our future rope-horse and reined cow-horse prospects.
